House in Boljun
Boljun
The holiday house project in Boljun was created as a response to the peaceful, natural surroundings of the Istrian landscape and the need for a space that offers complete privacy, comfort, and a higher-category vacation experience. The house is designed to function equally well as a weekend retreat for the owners and as a property for tourist rental, with a focus on the quality of stay and the long-term value of the space.
The interior is based on the idea of calm, contemporary luxury. Clean lines, tactile materials, mineral textures, and wooden elements create a warm and balanced atmosphere, while the open ground-floor living area allows a natural flow between the living room, kitchen, and dining area. On the upper floor, the spaces become quieter and transition into a more intimate zone of bedrooms, where natural light and views of the surrounding landscape become an important part of the interior experience.
A special value of the house lies in the basement amenities, conceived as a space for an additional living experience. A private wellness area with halotherapy and a sauna provides a zone for regeneration, while the entertainment area with a billiard table, lounge corner, and bar creates the atmosphere of a private club.
The exterior is designed as an extension of the interior—through the pool, summer kitchen, lounge zones, and the cascaded landscaping that follows the natural configuration of the plot. Together, they create an environment in which architecture, design, and landscape form a unified whole—a house that is not just a place to stay, but an experience of relaxation in the Istrian scenery.
